There's More Than Meets The Eye

I keep my pain contained inside.
I try not to let a single moan or groan escape my lips.
I don’t let tears fall down my face.
I don’t complain out loud.
I keep putting one foot in front of the other.
I paste a smile on my face to hide the twisted agony inside.
I block it all to be able to keep going.
I only let the light in.
I keep thoughts of purity and peace in mind.
So I can finally keep on going.
